Women's Basketball
Kamaiyah Pruitt, Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(So., F - Pass Christian, Mississippi, 23)
Kam Pruitt had another great week for the Lady Wolves as she posted a double-double in both games played. The sophomore forward from Pass Christian started her week with a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double against Hinds. She then finished her week with a double-double including a new career high 31 points along with 10 rebounds against Gulf Coast. For the week, Pruitt averaged 24 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game while shooting 69% from the floor and 92% from the free-throw line.
Men's Basketball
Christian Gilliland, Pearl River Community College
(Fr, G - Memphis, Tenn., 2)
Christian Gilliland (Memphis, Tenn.) averaged 28.5 points for Pearl River last week, including a 39-point outburst against Hinds. The freshman added in five rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
Softball Pitcher
Teegan DeWitt, Pearl River Community College
(Fr, RHP - Pass Christian, Miss., 17)
Teegan DeWitt (Pass Christian; Hancock) won three games in relief for No. 4 Pearl River last week, tossing eight innings and allowing just two runs on seven hits and two walks. She registered 10 strikeouts and had a 1.75 ERA for the week.
Softball Player
Brelie Phillips, Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(So., INF - Conehatta, Mississippi, 11)
Brelie Phillips had a monster week for the Lady Wolves. The sophomore infielder had at at least one hit and one RBI in every game played this week and had home runs in four of the six games played. Phillips hit a home-run in each of the games against Baton Rouge, hit two in the Lady Wolves 14-3 win against Chipola, and her fifth came in the first game against Lansing. For the week, Phillips hit .600 with 10 of her 12 hits being extra base hits with five doubles and five home runs while collecting 16 RBS, scoring 12 runs, drawing three walks, and stealing four bases while also posting a .652 on-base percentage, and a 1.600 slugging percentage.
Baseball Pitcher
Trevor Hodges, Jones College
(Fr, RHP - Watson, La., 99)
In two relief apps this week against ranked opponents #25 Gulf Coast and #23 Shelton State, Trevor Hodges threw 8.1 innings of one-hit ball with 11 strikeouts and no walks to help Jones to a pair of wins.
Baseball Position
Coy Clements, Pearl River Community College
(R-Fr, C - Hattiesburg, Miss., 7)
Coy Clements (Hattiesburg; Oak Grove) finished a five-game stretch with a .538 batting average, a .727 on-base percentage and a 1.538 slugging percentage. He drove in 11 runs, walked nine times and hit a home run in four consecutive games. He also added a double to his tally.
