Maniya Kirksey, Northeast Mississippi Community College
(Sophomore, G - Tupelo, Miss., 24)
Maniya Kirksey led Northeast to its best week of the season to date so far with three big conference wins, including two on the road. She produced a career-high of 31 points plus 11 rebounds in a 64-56 home victory over Southwest. It was her second double-double of the season. Kirksey also produced 18 and 16 points in road wins over Jones and Northwest, respectively. For the week, Kirksey averaged 21.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
Men's Basketball
Demetrius Duffy, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(Fr, F - Tupelo, MS, 23)
Duffy has shown the ability to take the Rangers on his back multiple times this season and did it again this week with three more double-double efforts that helped to snap a 4 game losing streak and keep the Rangers in a tough game with the #19 Bobcats where he scored 23 points in the second half. He shot 74 percent from the field over the week and averaged 14 rebounds per game.
Softball Pitcher
Lizzie Meeks, Itawamba Community College
(SO, P - Ripley, MS , 35)
Lizzie Meeks (Ripley, MS) tossed a complete-game, no-hitter while striking out 8 in a 4-1 win over Calhoun. She followed that performance by scattering 3 hits over 4.2 innings of scoreless work with 6 strikeouts in a 4-1 win over No. 12 Chattanooga State in the JUCO Turf Wars
Softball Player
Raegan King, Meridian Community College
(SO, UT - Florence, MS, 15)
Sophomore Raegan King powered the Eagles to a perfect 4-0 week with a stellar performance at the plate. In two doubleheaders the Florence native went 7-9 (.778) at the plate with 4 home runs, 10 RBI's, a double and 2 stolen bases.
Baseball Pitcher
Jackson Clark, East Central Community College
(FR, LHP - Brandon, MS, 27)
Clark delivered one of the top pitching performances of the week in the NJCAA, throwing a complete-game shutout in a 2-0 win over South Arkansas. The left-hander allowed just two hits across seven innings while striking out nine and issuing no walks. Clark faced 24 batters and did not allow a runner to advance past second base, anchoring a doubleheader sweep and helping East Central secure a 4-0 week.
Baseball Position
Will Caviness, Itawamba Community College
(FR, 1B - Ripley, MS , 27)
Will Caviness (Ripley, MS) set a modern-day record with 9 RBI in the Indians' 18-8 win over Dyersburg State. He finished the week with a .583 batting average with .706 on-base and 1.250 slugging percentage. He had 7 hits (2 doubles, 2 home runs - 1 grand slam) while drawing 5 walks and only striking out once in 12 at-bats.
