Volleyball - Offense
Ava Siegel, Northeast Mississippi Community College
(Sophomore, OH - Tuscumbia, Ala., 21)
Ava Siegel has taken on a bigger role on the outside for the Lady Tigers and it's led to greater success. Siegel had a team-best four kills per set and a .204 hitting percentage in a 3-1 week for Northeast. She recorded a pair of double-doubles last week with 16 kills and 13 digs at Mississippi Gulf Coast along with 17 kills plus 10 digs in a neutral site win over Northwest-Shoals. For the week, she averaged 4 kills, 3.15 digs and 4.8 points per set. She also accounted for nine services aces on the week.
Volleyball - Defense
Olivia Guth, Jones College
(Fr, DS - Poplarville, Miss., 1)
Olivia Guth, a freshman DS from Poplarville, helped No. 25 Jones College to a 2-0 week. She had 36 digs, two service aces and 10 assists as the Bobcats beat Pearl River, 3-0, and No. 24 Enterprise State, 3-2.
Women's Soccer - Offense
Linda Mustered, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
(So, FWD - Biloxi, 5)
Linda Mustered, a sophomore forward from Biloxi, mustered four goals and two assists in a dominant week for No. 5 Gulf Coast. She had a goal and two assists in an 8-0 win at East Mississippi, then notched her second hat trick of the season in a 7-0 win over Hinds.
Women's Soccer - Goalkeeper
Ann Marie Barton, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(So, GK - Olive Branch, Miss., 0)
Barton had two very good showings in net, making eight saves in two games on the week and only allowing one goal in each, playing an important role for the Rangers in a bounce back week after they dropped their first game of the season. She also made several plays coming out of net to avoid allowing a shot opportunity on several through balls in both games, and one of her saves came on a late penalty kick against SMCC.
Men's Soccer - Offense
Matt Reed, Jones College
(So, F - Solihull, England, 9)
Matt Reed scored a career-high four goals in a 6-1 win over Northwest and added the game-winner against Co-Lin in a 2-0 week for the 7th-ranked Bobcats.
Men's Soccer - Goalkeeper
Bentchey Garcia, East Mississippi Community College
(Fr., GK - Gran Canaria, Spain, 1)
EMCC freshman goalkeeper Bentchey Garcia recorded his first collegiate clean sheet with eight saves during the Lions' 6-0 shutout win over Holmes in Ridgeland.
Football - Offense
Chris Hunter, Southwest Mississippi Community College
(So., RB - Canton, MS, 14)
inal home game as a Bear with 27 carries for 180 yards and three touchdowns including the game-winner with under :30 to go. He also added one reception for 10 yards.
Football - Defense
Kaleb Washington, Hinds Community College
(So, DB - Lexington, 24)
Washington was a game changer for the Eagles in the 56-13 win over PRCC on Thursday night. He turned in a monster performance with back-to-back interception returns for touchdowns (one from 73 yards and another from 72) giving the Eagles a commanding 35-6 advantage before halftime.
Football - Special Teams
Dj Miller, Hinds Community College
(Fr, WR - Memphis, Tenn., 7)
Coming out of the halftime break, Miller took the kick 98 yards for a touchdown for the Eagles to give them the 41-6 lead over PRCC.
