Volleyball - Offense
Claire Smith, Pearl River Community College
(Fr, LB - Coldwater, Miss., 9)
Claire Smith (Coldwater; Lewisburg) racked up an incredible 217 assists, 10 kills and seven service aces across six matches last week.
Volleyball - Defense
Ariana Woods, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(Fr, M - Walls, Miss., 10)
In what was a challenging week for the Rangers, playing eight matches in six days, they showed up, with a record of 7-1, including taking down a ranked opponent for the first time since 2023. Woods was pivotal in the wins, averaging nearly a block per set and had 11 digs while not playing in the back row other than when she served. In the Rangers win over #20 Lurleen B. Wallace, she matched a season high in blocks with four including one solo and she had multiple blocks in six of the eight matches over the week, with at least three in three of those matches.
Women's Soccer - Offense
Sherline King, Jones College
(So, F - Panama City, Panama, 7)
King tied a career-high with four goals, on five shots-on-goal, in Jones' 7-2 win over East Central. She has eight goals her last three matches and team-high 14 on the season.
Women's Soccer - Goalkeeper
Olivia Conway, Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(So., GK - Huddersfield, England, 1)
Olivia Conway had a great night in goal for the Lady Wolves in their come from behind win against Meridian. After allowing a goal in the second minute of the match, the sophomore from Huddersfield, England made eight straight saves including a penalty kick save that would have given Meridian a 2-1 lead at the time.
Men's Soccer - Offense
August Lydiksen, Hinds Community College
(Fr, FWD - Jelling, Denmark, 19)
Lydiksen earned a Hat Trick (3 goals) in the 9-1 mercy rule victory over Southwest Mississippi CC on Friday evening at Tom Shepherd Field. The three goals came in 70 minutes of play due to the mercy rule.
Men's Soccer - Goalkeeper
Landon Melnik, Pearl River Community College
(R-Fr, GK - Ocean Springs, Miss., 28)
Landon Melnik (Ocean Springs) came up clutch in his first-ever start between the posts. The redshirt freshman faced 10 shots on goal in PRCC's lone game against Northwest, making nine saves and allowing just one goal.
