MACCC Players of the Week - May 12
Softball Pitcher
Addison Lindley, Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(So., P/INF - Madison, Mississippi, 23)
Addison Lindley had another stellar week for the Lady Wolves as they made a perfect run through the Region 23 Tournament pitching complete game efforts in all three wins. The sophomore from Madison started her week with a seven-inning win against Northwest where she had six strikeouts and no walks against the Rangers in the 5-3 contest. She then faced off against the Lady Bears of Southwest where she pitched a five-inning complete game with seven strikeouts and two walks in the 10-2 win. Lindley then finished her week with a complete game effort against Pearl River in the Region 23 Championship where she pitched all nine innings in the win for the Lady Wolves giving them their first Region 23 title since 2023. For the week, she finished with 15 strikeouts and just three walks across 21 innings while going 3-0 and running her record to 23-3.d saves.
Softball Player
Annie Poole, Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(Fr., INF - Brookhaven, Mississippi, 6)
Annie Poole had a solid week for the Lady Wolves on their way to a Region 23 Championship. The freshman from Brookhaven had at least one hit and one RBI in all three games during the week highlighted by her 3-for-3 performance with a two-run home run and RBI-double in the win over Southwest that sent the Lady Wolves to the Region 23 Championship game and punched a ticket for the Lady Wolves fourth-straight national tournament appearance. For the week, Poole finished with a .667 average, .700 on-base percentage, and a 1.111 slugging percentage with one double, one home run, five RBIs, and one walk with six hits overall. She also had a perfect fielding percentage with 13 total chances and was part of one double play.
Baseball Pitcher
Brayson Graham, Jones College
(Fr, P/INF - Waynesboro, Miss., 24)
Brayson Graham tossed six scoreless innings at #1 Pearl River to send Jones into the Poplarville Regional final, scattering two hits and seven strikeouts in a no-decision. He also hit a two-run homer in the regional championship game in a run-rule win.
