Bobcats, Wildcats Dominate MACCC Weekly Awards

Softball Pitcher
Jayden Sawyer, Jones College
(So, P/INF - Mobile, Ala., 27)

Jayden Sawyer tossed two no-hitters in three days in a 4-0 week for the Bobcats. She punched out 14 in a 5-0 G2 win over Southwest and nine in an 8-0 G2 win over Mississippi Delta. She's allowed just 2 ER over her last 18 innings pitched.

Emily Mizelle, Jones College
(So, INF - Mobile, Ala., 19)

Mizelle hit three more home runs and drove in nine in a 4-0 week for Jones, running her season HR total to 20. She's hit safely in 27 of her last 30 games.

KK Clark, Pearl River Community College
(So, RHP - Brandon, Miss., 3)

KK Clark (Brandon) was electric in a rivalry victory over Gulf Coast, striking out 10 bulldogs in a five-inning complete game. He allowed just four hits and two runs.

Topher Jones, Pearl River Community College
(Fr, INF - Hernando, Miss., 1)

Topher Jones (Hernando) continued his incredible month of April with a productive week against Gulf Coast and East Mississippi. He had a .600 (7-for-15) average, driving in a team-high eight RBIs. He tallied three doubles, one triple and one homer. He also walked twice. Since April 1, Jones is hitting .537 with 10 extra-base hits and 23 RBIs.
