Rylee Tittle, Taylor Nelson Named MACCC Players of the Week
Softball
Rylee Tittle, Northeast Mississippi Community College
(Sophomore, P - Tuscumbia, Ala., 15)
Rylee Tittle was the winner in an 11-inning marathon against Holmes. She was not responsible for any runs (two runs scored by Holmes were placed due to ITB) in a complete game performance with 12 strikeouts and only 2 walks allowed. Three days later, Tittle tossed a run-rule shortened one-hitter against Meridian with 9 strikeouts & only 1 walk. She also pitched the 7th inning of the nightcap against the Eagles. For the week, Tittle went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA. She had two complete games with 17 innings pitched. Tittle scattered 7 hits and 3 walks and struck out 22 batters. She moved into sole possession for third most strikeouts in a single season in Northeast history.
Taylor Nelson, Hinds Community College
(Fr, INF - Haley, ID, 22)
Nelson played a vital role in the production of offense for the Lady Eagles this week. Taylor belted four homers in four games and tallied 8 RBI. All of her hits this week were extra base hits.
Baseball
Drake Bayles, East Mississippi Community College
(So., P - Hazlehurst, MS, 31)
EMCC's Drake Bayles scattered six hits and allowed just one earned run (3 runs total), while striking out seven with no walks in going the distance (7 innings), during the Lions' 3-2 tough-luck home loss to Copiah-Lincoln.
Thomas Marsala, Hinds Community College
(So, C/INF/OF - Monroe, LA, 31)
Marsala played a vital role in the production of offense for the Eagles this week. Thomas grabbed two homers (one was a walk off grand slam to give the Hinds the 7-5 victory over MGCCC). In addition to the homers, Marsala totaled 7 RBI and eight hits in 14 at-bats.

The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) is one of the premier community college conferences in the country and ranks among the elite in the nation in terms of alumni on professional sports teams.
Current championship competition offered by the league includes competition for men in baseball, basketball, football, golf, soccer and tennis.
Women's competition is offered in the sports of basketball, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball.
