Wildcats Dominate MACCC Baseball and Softball Weekly Honors

Natalie Herrington, Pearl River Community College
(So, RHP - Petal, Miss., 2)
Southern Miss signee Natalie Herrington (Petal) was fantastic again last week. She threw 14 innings, allowing just one earned run on 10 hits and two walks. She struck out 25 on the week. In an extra-inning victory over Itawamba, she threw eight innings and set a new career-high with 14 strikeouts.
Madison Moak, Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(So., OF - Brookhaven, Mississippi, 4)
Madison Moak had a huge week for the Lady Wolves as they went 6-0 during the week. The sophomore from Brookhaven and USM signee started her week going a combined 6-for-9, 4-for-4 in game one, in the No. 4 Lady Wolves sweep of the No. 6 Lady Bobcats including hitting the eventual game-winning two-run home run in the first game. Moak then went a combined 2-for-3 including a leadoff solo home run in game one in the sweep of John Melvin University. She then finished her week a combined 5-for-9 with two doubles in the sweep against the No. 14 Lady Tigers. Moak finished her week with a .619 batting average, .652 on-base percentage, and a 1.048 slugging percentage along with a perfect fielding percentage. She accounted for eight runs scored during the week scoring in five of six games and had RBIs in four of six games while also having two games with four hits and was hit-by-pitch twice during the week.
Baseball
Thomas Crabtree, Pearl River Community College
(Fr, RHP - Collierville, Tenn., 17)
Thomas Crabtree (Collierville, Tenn.) threw a gem on the road against No. 12 Meridian, throwing a complete game and allowing just two runs on five hits and a walk. He struck out a season-high 12 batters.
Hollis Porter, Pearl River Community College
(R-Fr, INF/OF - Hurley, Miss., 14)
The NJCAA's home run leader Hollis Porter (Hurley; East Central) had another big week last week. In a perfect 4-0 week against No. 12 Meridian and Itawamba, Porter hit a dazzling .692 with three home runs, two doubles, seven RBIs, nine runs and five walks. He had a two-homer game in the first game against ICC to push his season total to 14.
