NJCAA Region 23 Men's Tennis Tournament Day 1 Headlines
Ellisville, MISS (TOURNAMENT CENTRAL | LIVE STATS) - The 2023 NJCAA Region 23 Men's Tennis Tournament kicked off on Thursday, April 20 in Ellisville, hosted by 2023 Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference Champion Jones College.

No. 12 Bulldogs cruise to R23 semifinals
ELLISVILLE (via MGCCCBulldogs.com) — After starting more than two hours late, No. 12 Mississippi Gulf Coast didn't waste any time against East Central in the NJCAA Region 23 Men's Tennis Tournament on Thursday.
The Bulldogs won 5-0 to advance to the semifinals Friday.
"It took a little while to actually get out there, but when we did we made quick work of it," Gulf Coast coach Sam Blackburn said. "Doubles played great and we were strong and deep in singles, so we prevailed pretty quick. I'm really happy about the effort, and we've got more to get done tomorrow."
Wolves season comes to an end
ELLISVILLE, Mississippi (via Colinathletics.com) – The Jones College Bobcats ended the Co-Lin Wolves defeating them 5-0 in the first round of the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament. The Wolves finish the season with a 4-10 overall record, 3-7 in conference.

No. 2 Jackson Peoples/Dawson Do (JC) def. Lawson Pearson/Landon Banes (CL) 8-1
No. 3 Hudson Hans/Prescott Schaumberg (JC) def. Landon Case/Colton Fuqua (CL) 8-0
No. 19 Indians take down No. 22 Northwest to advance to region semifinals
Ellisville, Miss. (via LetsGoICC.com) - No. 19 Itawamba Community College men's tennis picked ups 5-1 win over No. 22 Northwest Mississippi Community College in the NJCAA Region 23 Championships quarterfinals Thursday.
The Indians won two of the three doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead and then went on to win No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles matches to pick up the win.
Friday, the Indians will face tournament host and No. 1 seed Jones College at 8 a.m.
